"A spicy way to dress up stew beef. My mother made this whilst we have been kids, and we loved it. It is highly spiced even as not mouth-burning! Can be made with inexpensive cuts of beef, and is derived out very gentle. If it receives too thick, add a little water while it is cooking. Garnish with sour cream."
Ingredients :
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- three onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons Hungarian candy paprika
- 2 teaspoons salt
- half teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 kilos red meat stew meat, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions :

- Heat oil in a massive pot or Dutch oven over medium warmth. Cook onions in oil until smooth, stirring regularly. Remove onions and set apart.
- In a medium bowl, combine paprika, 2 teaspoons salt and pepper. Coat red meat cubes in spice aggregate, and cook dinner in onion pot till brown on all aspects. Return the onions to the pot, and pour in tomato paste, water, garlic and the remaining 1 teaspoon salt. Reduce heat to low, cowl and simmer, stirring now and again, 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or till meat is soft.
