Old Fashioned Carrot Pudding |
"I obtained this recipe about 40 years ago from a friend who said it were in her family for generations. It comes out wonderfully wet and flavorful. I actually have given it as Christmas items usually and it is continually very well obtained."
Ingredients :
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 half cups all-motive flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/four teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- half teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup grated carrots
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 3/four cup white sugar
- 1 half teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 3 half of teaspoons butter
- 3 half teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 half teaspoons vanilla extract

- In a big bowl, cream collectively the shortening and 1 cup of sugar till light and fluffy.
