Bean and Tomato Stew with Sage

Ingredients :

3 tablespoons olive oil
four cloves garlic, quartered
1/four cup white wine
1 (14.Five ounce) can diced tomatoes in juice
2 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon floor black pepper
1 half of teaspoons floor sage
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 bay leaf
1 (16 ounce) can cannellini beans
salt and pepper (optional)

Instructions :

Heat the olive oil in a massive saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic, and saute until gently browned. Pour within the white wine, and simmer for a minute. Pour in the tomatoes with juice and water, and season with pepper, sage, thyme, and the bay leaf. Bring to a boil, and allow simmer for approximately 20 minutes.
Pour inside the beans, and simmer for any other 20 minutes or so, till the stew is thickened and flavors have blended. Remove the bay leaf, taste, and season with salt and pepper before serving.
