  • half cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup canned chickpeas, tired
  • 1/four cup diced red onion
  • 1 overwhelmed egg

  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh floor black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt-free herb seasoning combination
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 slices moderate Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pita bread spherical

  • 2 leaves romaine lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 avocado - peeled, pitted and sliced

Instructions :

  • Place walnuts and sunflower seeds in a dry skillet over medium warmth. Cook, stirring once in a while until gently toasted and fragrant, approximately five minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, mash garbanzo beans with a fork, or chop in a food processor. Stir inside the onion, egg, parsley, and toasted nuts. Season with pepper and seasoning combination, and blend nicely.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium warmth. Divide the bean aggregate into 2 patties, and fry in the warm oil for about 3 minutes on each side, or until nicely browned and heated thru. Place a slice of cheese over every patty, and eliminate from heat.
  • Place the pita round inside the same dry skillet the nuts have been in, and warmth for approximately 1 minute on every facet.
